NSU Libraries are open to public patrons so long as they abide by any applicable federal or state laws, local ordinances, and NSU regulations. However, to check out items or use an NSU computer, Non-NSU patrons must be a legal adult (or accompanied by one) and provide additional information.
To check out items as a Non-NSU patron, a Non-NSU Patron Lending Application must be filled out. These can be requested from the Circulation Desk at the Tahlequah or Broken Arrow Campus library and must be completed or updated every semester. The form will also require the following information and documents:
- A valid government-issued ID, such as a driver's license.
- A proof of address, such as a utilities bill, piece of email, or Amazon confirmation email (Tahlequah only).
- Current contact information, such as a phone number and email.
To use an NSU computer, Non-NSU patrons are not required to fill out a Lending Application but must provide a photo ID and contact information to the Circulation Desk.
For any additional questions regarding NSU Library procedures, conduct rules, lending limits for items, or overdue items and fee policies, please refer to the NSU Libraries Circulation Policies webpage at https://library.nsuok.edu/circ/index.
