There are several resources available to help students with creating citations and reference lists/bibliographies in whatever style is required by their professor or program.
- The NSU Writing Center can assist students with the most commonly used citation styles (APA, MLA, Chicago/Turabian), as well as with writing and grammar. The Writing Center has physical locations in both the Tahlequah and Broken Arrow campus libraries (operating hours may differ from library hours). They also offer online services through their web portal. For information about their services and policies, including hours and contact information, visit the NSU Writing Center website.
- The John Vaughan Library on the NSU Tahlequah campus has a curated collection of citation resources, including Style Guides, writing guides, and example citations for common styles, at the Citation Station on the second floor next to the couches near the northeast stairwell. The Broken Arrow campus library also maintains an extensive collection of resources on a variety of citation styles.
- The Research & Instruction Librarian / Subject Area Specialist for your College or Department can assist with more specialized citation styles (e.g., AMA, OVS, ACS). Assistance is available by appointment or by visiting the Research Help Desk during its hours of operation.
- Purdue University's Online Writing Lab (OWL) Research and Citation website is an excellent resource for learning how to create accurate citations in several styles (APA, MLA, Chicago, AMA, IEEE, and ASA). The OWL also provides extensive information on conducting and using research and responsible use of citation generators.
