Brainstorming also helps with the research paper writing process. Check out mind mapping (a technique for brainstorming). If you're still having trouble, you can also visit the Writing Center or stop by and visit with a librarian. In Tahlequah, librarians are available on the first floor Monday through Friday from 10am-2pm and Monday through Thursday from 5pm-7pm; in Broken Arrow, librarians are available at the library's reference desk on the second floor the entire time the library is open.
