The physical items held by NSU Libraries are divided into various collections based on their content. The Tahlequah and Broken Arrow campus arrange their material differently according to the available space. Tahlequah

The Tahlequah campus library divides its items into 7 major sections. The sections are spread across 3 different floors of the library.

1st Floor

  • The Reference Collection, which contains encyclopedias, indexes, and other resources for quick, factual information.
  • The Audiovisual Collection, which contains documentaries, movies, audiobooks, and other non-textual materials.

2nd Floor

  • The Youth Collection, which contains YA fiction and other material for children and young adults.
  • The Periodicals Collection, which contains physical copies of certain journals and magazines.
  • The Government Documents Collection, which contains physical copies of certain reports created by US government agencies.
  • The Curriculum Materials Collection, which contains a variety of K-12 textbooks and other classroom material.

3rd Floor

  • The Main Collection, which contains adult nonfiction and fiction material.

Broken Arrow

The Broken Arrow Campus library divides its items into 4 major sections. There are no circulating collections on the 1st floor of the BA library.

2nd Floor

  • The Main Collection, which contains adult nonfiction and fiction material.
  • The Youth Collection, which contains YA fiction and other material for children and young adults.
  • The Reference Collection, which contains encyclopedias, indexes, and other resources for quick, factual information.
  • The Audiovisual Collection, which contains documentaries, movies, audiobooks, and other non-textual materials.
